Revolutionary Christmas
This season, have yourself a very British Christmas at Christ Church.
Historian Neil Ronk will lead visitors through a candlelit colonial tour of Christ Church and its churchyards while considering the angst and awe that accompanied the holiday in wartime. In this third year of our Revolutionary Christmas event, Ronk will focus on Philadelphians during the British occupation of 1777, a season when troops ransacked religious institutions in the city but spared Christ Church, where many British sympathizers worshiped.
* This tour is family-friendly and handicap accessible! The outdoor portion of the tour lasts no more than 10 minutes.
