California by Bike Summit
We are at an exciting and powerful moment in the history of active transportation advocacy in California. Governor Brown has provided more money than ever for active transportation infrastructure and he's given us a blank slate regarding rules on how to spend it. The question is: Are we prepared to make the most of this opportunity by having an informed and engaged active living community throughout the state?
Californians of all ages, especially youth, are driving less and biking more. But young bike riders don't automatically become bike advocates. Can we successfully engage this new generation to become progressive thought leaders by utilizing their own preferred media, style and language?

Bicycling is growing faster among young women and people of color than in the population as a whole. Can our movement become inclusive enough to truly welcome and serve California's diverse population?

On November 7-10 in Oakland, California by Bike, the California Bicycle Coalition's 2013 summit, will bring active transportation leaders together so that we can say, "Yes, we will."  We invite Planet Bike to play a significant role by becoming one of the summit's "Signature" sponsors at the $10,000 level.  Attached you'll find a complete description of the very attractive benefits this top sponsorship level receives.

California by Bike will be a unique opportunity. A gathering and training for not only bike advocates and the bike industry, but also leading active transportation influencers and innovators in health, transit, urban planning, design, technology and tourism all focused on creating a major paradigm shift focused on our summit theme of "Mainstreaming the Bike in California."
