Teaching Indigenous: The Enslavement of Our Ancestors
Thanksgiving is a problematic holiday. Join us in a growing #Truthsgiving movement to engage in conversation around the romanticized Thanksgiving story, the way its history has been whitewashed, and what we can do about it. Join Alice Qannik Glenn, Ayyu Qassataq, and other panelists for a live Coffee and Quaq podcast event reflecting on the ways that we teach and learn about Thanksgiving.

The live podcast event will culminate in a one-of-a-kind performance from AKU-MATU

AKU-MATU, is the stage persona of Iñupiaq rap, hip-hop and performance artist Allison Akootchook Warden. Warden has performed all over the world, engaging her audiences with stories and themes of the Iñupiaq, paying homage to traditions and addressing contemporary issues.

This event is presented by See Stories, Coffee & Quaq.

Tickets cost $15 each.
