HUNKS Record a Live Sketch Comedy Album
Winnipeg Fringe Festival favourites, HUNKS, will be hitting the stage to record their debut comedy album on NOVEMBER 16, 2019 at WEE JOHNNYS IRISH PUB (177 MCDERMOT ST.).
The album is the culmination of five years of hard work which has seen the group perform in comedy clubs and festivals across North America, including Just For Laughs NorthWest, The San Francisco Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketch Fest, Edomontons Improvaganza, and the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival where they opened for Bruce McCulloch of the legendary Kids in the Hall.
HUNKS are four intelligent people who make each other dumber. Their names are Dana Smith, Rory Fallis, Tim Gray, and Matt Nightingale.
(HUNKS) expertly constructed scenarios that managed to tread the line between dark and light-hearted humour, by approaching dark or taboo subjects with childlike playfulness and enthusiasm. - Maddy Rafter, Discorder Magazine (Vancouver)
Initially starting off in familiar territory, HUNKS derails into the obscure and relentlessly hilarious. - Jake Pesaruk, Vue Weekly (Edmonton)
(HUNKS) is the sketch comedy equivalent of a party band. - Randall King, Winnipeg Free Press
