Slow Food Eugene presents Through the Garden Gate at King Estate
Evening Festivities
For the first time Slow Food Eugene brings its passion for locally sourced fresh-from-the-field ingredients into the gardens and kitchen at King Estate for this unique Fall Garden Harvest event.
Savor a choice of creatively prepared entrees from the Oregon coast or a local ranch,generously served with organic produce from the estate gardens and orchards and paired with award winning wines.
Upon arrival, tour estate gardens with Master Gardener Jessie Russell. Visit the Charcuterie kitchen for an inside glimpse of this unique specialty with Chef Tim Bass.
Sample regionally sourced appetizer bites and meet local food producers, on hand to share their passion and labors.
Meet Head Chef and culinary genius Ben Nadolny, who will speak on his experiences and challenges in the Estate kitchen and plans for the future.
Representatives from School Garden Project and Farm to School Program will share accomplishments.
Relax to acoustic guitar folk and jazz by Ken Luker and bid on exciting Silent Auction items, including a private cottage stay on the estate.
