WE'RE HERE: GAY WRITES
WE'RE HERE was written, produced and is presented by Miami University Regionals' Theatre members and community folks using various existing play-devising (improvisational-based) as well as new techniques particular to MUR Theatre. The play's story revolves around the lives of two members of the LGBTQ+ community as they navigate self-realization and societal prejudices through two different decades during the modern gay rights movement.The play centers upon overarching topic of LGBTQ+ cultures. The name We're Here comes from a popular by Queer Nation--a longstanding LGBTQ+ activist organization.
