Brian Copeland: The Waiting Period
Like many other well-known figures, Brian suffers from debilitating bouts of depression. In "The Waiting Period" Brian uses his unique dramatic talent and hilarious wit to shed light on the debilitating epidemic known as depression. The show gives an unrelenting look at a 10-day period in his life: the mandatory waiting period before he could lay his hands on a new gun with which he planned to take his own life. Even in the midst of this tragedy, however, Brian's wonderful sense of the comedy of life does not desert him, indeed it serves him insidiously well as a buffer against the grim reality of his intentions. There is laughter in the darkness.
