Sharon Katz and The Peace Train; Humongous Holiday Bazzar
Music therapist, educator, social activist, performer and conflict resolution consultant, Sharon Katz MM/MT-BC has worked in prisons, schools, universities, mental health facilities, drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers, youth empowerment projects, HIV/AIDS orphanages, and community development programs. In support of Nelson Mandela's vision for ending apartheid and peacefully transitioning to a non-racial democracy, Sharon founded The Peace Train in South Africa in 1992 to pilot her African model of music therapy in conflict resolution and community development.

Performance artist, vocalist and educator Wendy Khethiwe Quick has presented performances of peace, love and unity in the United States, Ghana and South Africa. Wendy joined Sharon Katz and The Peace Train as a vocalist, dancer and conflict resolution educator in 2008 and has travelled across the U.S. and South Africa with the group. She also helped to build the Friends of The Peace Train assisted school in a rural area close to Durban KwaZulu Natal, South Africa.

Percussionist, Katja Cooper studied Afro-Caribbean percussion in Amsterdam and pursued her musical career in Israel. She was an accompanist for national dance companies, has taught, recorded and performed regularly with top-charting artists in festivals and public broadcastings. Currently in the East Bay, Katja performs with various bands and is faculty at Tehivah Day School, teaching liturgy songs, facilitating the middle school music ensemble, and leading drum circles.
