"In Celebration of the Arts 2019"
The Mount Vernon City School District and the Performing and Visual Arts Magnet School will present "In Celebration of the Arts 2019" on Saturday October 19 at 3:00 PM. The event will feature performances from noted artists and entertainers from Broadway, film, TV, the recording industry and students from the Performing and Visual Arts Magnet School. There will be a special tribute to award-winning actress and director Phylicia Rashad as the newly renovated auditorium becomes the Phylicia Rashad Auditorium. Tickets are VIP $100 includes a post-reception, orchestra $75, mezzanine $40, and balcony $25. All proceeds supports the Arts Magnet programming and arts education across the District. The production is Directed by Dr. Evelyn Collins, principal.
