Fear Her Fight Athletics Self Defense+Awareness Clinic with Axa and Chris
We are so excited to be bringing this to the PNW community in a safe and educational space. We have found that these essential skills gets looked over and many don't even know the basics to get out of scary situations. Most self defense classes are ran by white, cis male law enforcement and most of us do not feel safe learning around that experience. Womxn deserve to get appropriate training on escaping crisis, so we have curated a clinic from two of the most qualified people we trust to guide us in awareness, safety strategies, and physical techniques that enable us to successfully escape, resist, and survive violent attacks.

Let us introduce you!

Axa found her love of self-defense when she started wrestling at age 15. Axa is a multiple time All-American and qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials. She originally started wrestling to rebel against the patriarchy around her family lineage and culture but quickly turned into therapy. A survivor of physical and sexual abuse, Axa found her power back through the sport of wrestling and hopes to help empower women take up the space we deserve.

Chris' main expression has been ignited by martial arts. He's trained in various styles including kickboxing, jeet fun do, filipino martial arts, jujutsu, tae kwon do, wing Chun and is very skilled with kickboxing, parkour, gymnastics and rock climbing. His instruction certification blend synonymously within this art and has been teaching them in some capacity for over a decade. Chris believes everyone deserves to be a pilot for their own body in whatever capacity they see fit.

Class will have breaks in between and snacks to provide. We will be splitting the class into parts so there will be opportunity to write notes, video, take pictures and process. We understand this can be a lot to process and there will be an area to sit out if need be.

This clinic will be at Tacoma Strength. There is free parking in the parking lot or on the street. You can dress in athletic wear, as we will be moving around a lot involving floor work and physical contact. Please bring an open mind and water bottle- there is a water fountain to refill in the gym. There are 3 exit opportunities. TS has 2 all-gender restrooms and 2 dressing rooms.

We are aiming to have y'all out of there around 1:30pm as we have lots to cover. If funds are a financial barrier at this time, please email hello@fearherifght.com
We look forward to experiencing this with you all! Thank you for showing up in advance.
