Dalrymple MacAlpin is a professional composer, playwright, puppeteer, storyteller, and poet. He has been writing and performing his own original works for over two decades. MacAlpin is also a visionary scholar who culls together the myriad forms of folklore, mythology, fairy tales, poetry, and even 800-year-old riddles into a cohesive and exhaustively researched program of artistry, which delights and informs at the same time.

Citing such cultural luminaries as Carl Orff, W. B. Yeats, Jim Henson, Roald Dahl, The Brothers Grimm, Igor Stravinsky, Benjamin Bagby, J.S. Bach, Lord Dunsany, Moondog, and Carl Jung as major influences, showcase the eclectic range of depth, which permeates in his work.
