Tim Kliphuis and Jimmy Grant have collaborated to create a western U.S. tour together, and Point Richmond Jazzis honored to be a part of this!
In Gypsy jazz we rightfully give significant credit to Django, however a significant amount of credit is due to Stèphane Grappelli, the violinist who was at the genesis of Gypsy jazz. Tim is one of the modern embodiments of Stèphanes spirit! He is the guy that many of the modern Gypsy groups call on to sit in Grappellis chair. His music is powerful and passionate.
