DINNER SERIES
I conceived the If My Grandma Were To Cook You Lunch and Dinner Series to recreate the magic that took place at my grandmas kitchen. - Jezabel Careaga Neal Santos, the photographer and farmer turned entrepreneur behind Lalo, will delight us with a Filipino-Hispanic inspired meal.
When asked about his favorite food memory, Neal responded I remember baking with my older cousin, Ate Mae in the Philippines, who owns a small bake shop in Meycauayan, Bulacan called La Purisima. For some reason, learning to bake traditional mamon, ensaymada and pan de sal in an already hot and humid climate brings back very literal warm memories of my childhood.
