Oak Park Preschool Parenting Workshop - Taming Tantrums
Brought to you by First United Church Nursery School and the Collaboration for Early Childhood, the workshop will help you learn the Who, What, Where and How of tantrums. Share your experiences and gain concrete tips for how to best avoid and manage tantrums, as well as gain social emotional language for how to talk with young children about their feelings. Also practice mindfulness activities that you can do at home.
Led by Hannah O'Connor, LCSW and FUNS educator
Hannah has a degree in psychology and masters degree in Social Work from The University of Chicago. She has spent the last 2 decades working with families with children 0-5, in a variety of settings. Hannah takes a strengths based approach to working with children and families. She is a strong believer in partnering with and supporting parents to be their child's best teacher and advocate. Hannah has two children of her own who are now 12 and 14.
