Set in New York in the early 1960s, Neil Simons Barefoot in the Park is a romantic comedy focusing on newlyweds, Paul and Corie Bratter as they begin married life in a tiny fifth floor (six if you count the stoop) walkup brownstone. Paul is a straight-laced attorney and Cories a free spirit always looking for the next adventure. They contend with a lack of heat, a hole in the skylight, MANY exhausting flights of stairs, wacky neighbors including their neighbor in the attic Victor Velasco, Cories well-meaning and over protective mother, as well as their own personal struggles as they approach lifes challenges as a married couple. Neil Simons greatest romantic comedy!
