Pack Night!
PACK NIGHT presented by Davey Faye @mxdaveyfaye
This is an open format night between the series that ended in September 2018 and the new series launching in November 2018.
Unleash the inner wild in a group format! PACK NIGHT is an intentionally created, recurring safer space for manifesting your evolving primal. What does your primal sound like, feel like how does it move, can it play well with others? Using somatic movement and vocal exercises aimed to help you tap into the beastly beauty within, as well as emotional activators through eye contact and improvisation, the circle will be led to fall into a pack mind, blending the fierce (and the more sensitive) primal energies in the room with the common goal to release and revel in our creature-selves. Explore different animalistic embodiments, give yourself permission to growl and howl, coo and hiss, and discover elements of your own identity previously hidden from view. Challenge assumptions of how you should be and unveil new ways to connect with others. Over time as our pack grows and changes, the initiation exercises will adapt to communal calling.
Every PACK NIGHT begins with guided activities for body and mind to support unlocking inner primalism as an individual and as a group and then opens the floor to freeform exploration. As energies wind down, the evening concludes with a closing circle meant to support integration with these powerful energies and potential shadows and encourages attendees to find comfort from the journey we took as a primal family. Let yourself dive into the deep and dark, and bring back tools of empowerment and awareness to use in your everyday life. All bodies, identities, and presentations are enthusiastically welcome to attend. While the only ingress/egress of Wicked Ground Annex is via a flight of stairs, once inside the space PACK NIGHT is diligently dedicated to making all activities accessible and will work within the limitations and comforts of individuals in attendance.
(This is not a ropes skills class nor a BDSM/critter play presentation, but those energies and tools are welcome in the space during guided play if that is how you are individually called. This is a sex-positive, body-positive space, but for the sake of emotional safety and hygiene, while rolling around the floor and letting the mind loose, all attendees must use an undergarment covering below-belly-button genitalia at minimum. We recognize that arousal can come up when exploring these themes and we welcome all-natural process, but attendees must commit to maintaining a PG-13 atmosphere. PRESENTER NOTES:
Mx Davey Faye is an enthusiastic erotic artist, educating exhibitionist, and community-oriented woo-tastic playslut full of service and snark. They identify as an enigmatic genderfuck beastie and polyamorous pansexual sadomasochist, with an appetite for primalism, scarification, and a particular love of porcupine quills. Davey possesses a background in classical literature, mythology, and theatre, and they are deeply interested in the power of storytelling through kink. In performance, they strive to examine themes of gender, vulnerability, shadow dancing, perseverance over trauma, and erotic empowerment. Reviewed as both a shamanic healer and sexual savant, you can find this bitch of a switch regularly presenting at venues in the SF Bay Area and sporadic national conventions. They are a managing partner of Bondage-A-Go-Go, a regular performer at Twisted Windows and Opel Productions events, a founding facilitator of Oakland Rope Collective, creator of the ongoing series SPARC and Pack Night, and are also known to relish collaborative opportunities with other presenters and artists. For over a decade, Davey has danced, surrendered, and battled with words, paint, rope, blades, electricity, and fire both privately and publicly, and continues to do so while rising into roles of dissociative advocacy and disability awareness.
