Titus: Summer Shakespeare
PLOT SYNOPSIS

Titus Andronicus, the top military general for Rome, has returned home victorious after 10 years of war against the Goths, and is selected by the common people to serve as Rome's new Emperor.  However, wishing to retire, Titus selects in his place the eldest son of the previous Emperor, the incompetent Saturninus (who resents having to be chosen by Titus).

Soon the choice haunts Titus and his whole family.  Saturninus selects for his Queen the vicious Tamora, whose son was brutally murdered by Titus' family.  Tamora and her secret lover, the Moor Aaron, along with her two surviving sons, execute an intricate, villainous plot of revenge that kills two of Titus' sons, and bestows upon Titus' daughter Lavinia a fate perhaps worse than death.

Soon, Titus and his dwindling kin go down their own path of revenge against Tamora, a path which involves Gods, Goths and meat-pies.  This cycle of revenge perpetuates itself until a bloody climax is reached, where almost no one and no thing remains.

With the highest body count in all Shakespearean canon, TITUS is one of the Bard's bloodiest plays.
Basically, if Quentin Tarantino directed an episode of Game of Thrones, and threw in poetic language and references to Sweeney Todd, then you would have TITUS.

FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY.  Rated R for scenes of violence, rape, and murder.
