After months of planning the first Eisen and Meister restaurant event is set to take off. The seating is extremely limited we suggest you grab your tickets early. Tickets include seven courses and while the menu is listed, details about the menu will come out little by little through twitter, facebook and other social media. For now close your eyes and imagine the possibilities
There are two optional drink pairings. These are pairings, we have taken the time to carefully craft both pairings to go with the meal. We suggest you order both, one alcoholic, one non-alcoholic. The alcoholic pairing includes wine, mixed drinks, and beer.
The menu was masterfully crafted by Tyler Burke of Food Networks Iron Chef America balsamic battle and David Martinez of FOX's MasterChef. They have teamed up to provide an experience you will enjoy and remember. These two boy wonders have many tricks up their sleeves and plan to leave it all on your table. Come enjoy these seven courses and some surprises by this talented team.
:::The Deets [So what about those all important details? Well we are glad you asked.....]:::
Date ======= You choose one of two dates or both. August 30th 2013 August 31st 2013 Remember, the seating is extremely limited and is projected to sell out fairly quickly.
Time ======= Dinner begins at... 8:00pm One important detail. Service is small so all guests will begin eating together. This is an experience to remember we hope you will take this opportunity to make new friends over an eclectic menu, in an eclectic space.
Place ======= Eisen and Meister at the Cartel Coffee Lab 1 North 1st Street Phoenix, AZ 85004
Your Gracious Hosts ======= Jason and Company at Cartel Coffee Lab Phoenix
Your MC for the night ======= Wild Bill
Your Bartender ======= Mr. Prefers Stirring ;)
Your Chefs ======= Tyler Burke David Martinez
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::YOUR MENU [Lets be honest your scrolled to this :)]::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Starter ======= Ceviche Vuelva a La Vida This ceviche will have the usual cast of characters reinterpreted to give you another look into the possibilities of this Latino staple. Good, bad or indifferent you won't forget about this bright playful starter.
Mid ======= Chicken Tostadas This chicken tostada isn't something you will get from your favorite Mexican joint and probably something you'll wish you could order on a regular basis. Sit back and enjoy this schmaltzy treat.
1st Course ======= Chorizo y Papas VS Huevos con Chorizo This fight was bound to happen, who do you think wins, we think it'll be you.
2nd Course ======= Wowbacoa This Saturday morning Mexican breakfast staple is rounded out using fresh ingredients it hasn't met before. Be prepared to enjoy this barbacoa prepared traditionally.
3rd Course ======= Churros y Chicharrones Wait for it, wait for it. Yup it's just what you're thinking. These two chefs have worked tirelessly to give you two Mexican favorites on one plate. Are they making a churro stuffing from chicharronnes? Are they battering the chicharrones with churro dough? You'll just have to come and find out.
4th course ======= Cafe Mexicano You've had a cafecito in Little Havana, you have a cafesote every Monday morning, but we guarantee you haven't had a cafe Mexicano like this one. Who doesn't love flan, tequila, and fried sugary carbohydrates? We know we do!
Dessert ======= Mole' Poblano Yeah we said it Mole' Poblano. Why would anyone serve this as dessert? Open your mind and enjoy the close of a wonderful meal.
Boy Scouts ======= Be prepared here, this may seem like seven, but can grow quickly as the night goes on. The energy of the night will dictate a lot in the kitchen; you are family if you're having fun, who are we to stop feeding you.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::The Story::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This menu is just for you, created and designed so that you can walk away knowing you were the first of few that tasted these same dishes. This is also the first Eisen & Meister so take advantage. A chance pairing of two chefs meeting in a crowd over one to many Szechuan pepper corns is incredible; take advantage of serendipity.
Mexico is a region with a varied and eclectic cuisine dictated by seasons y las manos de mama. Each meal carefully constructed so that the family has enough energy to continue on their day. We want to give you a taste of several regions and shy away from the fried and cheese laden dishes that are customary at most "Mexican" restaurants. We hope you enjoy this little journey.
