VIVALDI'S MOTEZUMA, April 3, 2020
Vivaldi's lost opera, Motezuma has recently been revived!
Matthias Maute completed and reconstructed the remains of the manuscript, and Bach Society of Minnesota is proud to present this semi-staged opera in collaboration with Ensemble Caprice and Early Music Seattle on tour across 5 cities. With a full cast and a baroque orchestra, this opera gives the 16th-century Aztec ruler of Mexico a fresh perspective. If you love history and Baroque 'Opera Seria', this is not to be missed!
