John's on a Mission.
Called by his lover to prepare the way for His return, Jesus' beloved disciple has seen a vision of the End of the World: A jubilous, queer utopia where the constant bodily dysphoria and questions surrounding his body finally come to an end.
Now all he has to do is wait. And wait. And wait.
When his exile is disrupted by a royal family of sexually confused crusaders, John is tossed into a world of concealment, in which exposing oneself to the wrong person could have disastrous consequences. As John grapples with his role in creating a world of cultural colonization, it becomes less and less clear if this whole Christianity thing is worth saving.
