Please be aware that, although visibility is good for all seats in this small venue, seat alignment in the selection grid is representative but not exact. As possible, please help us by saving Wheelchair Companion Seats for patrons attending with a patron in a wheelchair.
You won't want to miss this hilarious parody as youth actors from BackStory Theatre take the stage for one of Shakespeare's most famous plays.
Who says Shakespeare's darkest tragedy can't give you belly laughs? Scotty Macbeth is a high school senior with everything going for him, including a giant ego and a penchant for plaid. When some goth classmates the weird sisters convince him that he, not his friend Duncan Morto, should be the class president, his ambition leads him down a dark and absurd path of deception and expulsion. (No murder, of course. It's a comedy, after all!) Complete with witty word play, slapstick action and a shocking twist ending, Macbeth: Off-Kilter spins the frown of tragedy upside down! Presented by advanced and intermediate youth actors from BackStory Theatre. Appropriate for all ages.
BackStory Theatre is a Broomfield-based 501(c)(3) organization which, through its BackStory Theatre Academy, BackStory Youth Theatre, and BackStory Leadership Program, provides affordable theatre education and performance opportunities to local children, adults, and families. Building from the belief that performing arts should be an integral part of every thriving community and made possible through individual donations and generous grants (including 2017-2018 support from Broomfield Community Foundation, Broomfield Health and Human Services Department, Broomfield Arts, Culture, and Science Funding Program, the Sheila Fortune Foundation, CO Creative Industries, and SCFD) BackStory Theatre makes performing arts programs accessible to people from all economic backgrounds.
