Live! Comedy Theatre In The Garden - Gutenberg! the Musical!
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix and A/C Theatre Company present "Gutenberg! the Musical!" in the Garden on Sunday, June 16th from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
In this two-person musical spoof, a pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers audition for their new project - a big, splashy musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg. With an unending supply of enthusiasm, Bud and Doug sing all the songs and play all the parts in their crass historical epic, with the hope that one of the producers in attendance will give them a Broadway contract fulfilling their ill-advised dreams.
Think Monty Python humor meets Broadway musical in this PG-13 production. Join us for a special evening of outdoor theater. The beauty of a traditional Japanese Garden truly sets the scene for a night of relaxation and laughter.
