Purview of Partner Projects (field trip)
This is a free field trip of the Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed Council inviting agencies and community members to visit and learn about a few of the grant-funded projects that are happening in the watershed.
Draft Itinerary:
12:30 Arrive/check in/load vans at Lakewood Community Center: Sign in, first stop, maps, carpooling (required) 12:45 depart 1:00 Arrive: Springbrook Park, Lakewood Stewardship Committee work 2019 grant: Making Homes for Fish 2019 grant: Garden Guardians Teen Program - Springbrook Connections 2:00 depart 2:15 Arrive: Forterra's Schibig Lakeview Preserve, Lakewood 2018 grant: restoration 2019 grant: habitat improvement 3:00 depart 3:15 Arrive: Tacoma Nature Center, Tacoma - Snake Lake Recurring grant project: Water Sleuths 4:10 depart 4:30 Return to Lakewood Community Center by 4:30pm
Trip includes walking on undeveloped trails and includes transportation.
Space is limited. RSVP required. This field trip is suitable for teens and adults.
