Flett Creek Basin By Foot
This is a free field trip offered by the Chambers-Clover Creek Watershed Council to promote awareness and stewardship of our urban watershed. We will visit a restoration site in Lakewood that is stewarded by students at Clover Park Technical College, and we'll visit a stormwater facility that is owned by the city of Tacoma, but also in Lakewood.
We will walk approximately 3 miles total on both hard and soft surfaces, including sidewalks and undeveloped trails.
Draft Itinerary:
2:45 Arrive/check in at Lakewood Community Center 3:00 Depart short walk to Flett Creek site 3:10 Arrive: CPTCs Flett Creek restoration site, Lakewood Derek Faust, Clover Park Technical College 4:40 Arrive: Flett Creek Holding Basin, Lakewood City of Tacoma 5:10 Depart walk back 5:30 Return to Lakewood Community Center. Wrap Up.
