BCMC Community Day Lunch
Join BCMC staff and volunteers for an informal lunch to learn more about our own work to affect how courts, police, and prisons are used by society, and to meet with other people who share your interest. We hope this lunch will be an especially good opportunity to meet people who work in the legal fields broadly understood - including both lawyers and folks who work on legal support, reform, and advocacy - and the lunch is free and open to anyone with an interested in these issues or BCMC's work.
Lunch starts at 12:30 and will open with short introductions to our work from Anthony Winn, our new Executive Director, and Lisa Jones, Site Director for our new Safe Streets Baltimore site in Woodbourne-McCabe. Weather permitting, we'll be grilling up both meat and vegetarian options in our back garden until 2:00!
If you're interested in learning more about how YOU can address conflicts in your life and your community more effectively, please feel free to join us for one of our two pay-what-you-can conflict transformation workshops right before and after lunch. And, if you're passionate about addressing mass incarceration, join us for a panel at 5:00 about using alternative dispute resolution to reduce the use of prisons.
