Music in the Chapel: Nirmala Rajasekar and Friends

Join us for world-renowned Nirmala Rajasekar in the intimate Lakewood Chapel!

Often described by the press as a "Carnatic Ambassador," Nirmala Rajasekar has introduced South Indian classical (Carnatic) music to many parts of the world, and is a recipient of several prestigious awards including a Bush artistic fellowship, a McKnight fellowship, Rotary Vocational Excellence award and Best Senior Veena Artiste.

Tickets are $15. Doors open early at 2 p.m. so you can take a self-guided tour of the historic Lakewood Memorial Chapel before the show. Free tour brochures will be available.

One of our city's most beloved architectural treasures, the historic Lakewood Chapel is an intimate setting that seats about 160 people. Because of its incredible beauty and historical significance, it is a popular place for weddings, end-of-life services, music concerts and other celebrations of beauty, art and remembrance.
