Fiddler on the Roof is the story of Tevye and his family of five daughters as they navigate the challenges rural life in early 20th Century Russia. A major political revolution is on the horizon but in the meantime, Tevye faces a revolution within his own family. Conditions for the Jews in the little village of Anatevka are tenuous but seemingly stable. Tevyes daughters remain blissfully unaware of any potential danger as they engage in romantic pursuits. His eldest daughters, Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava, force Tevye to confront the value of his traditions as they attempt to forge new paths for themselves.
This award-winning and beloved musical has been revived countless times for delighted audiences all over the world. Rise Up Theater is very proud to present our production of, Fiddler on the Roof.
