The BLACK PANTHER is BACK !! : In Concert, In Oakland!

2019 Oscar and Grammy Winner MASSAMBA DIOP, lead drummer from Marvel's blockbuster BLACK PANTHER film, is back in Oakland, CA for a MASSIVE concert showcasing his jaw-dropping percussive talent and offering fans a chance to hear his signature BLACK PANTHER sound!

Born & raised in Senegal, West Africa, MASSAMBA was selected by BLACK PANTHER composer Ludwig Goransson to create the hypnotic and mesmerizing beat which accompanies T'Challa throughout the film. MASSAMBA's powerful drum (called the "Tama") is the rhythmic backbone of the "Wakanda Theme Song", and his contributions helped the BLACK PANTHER soundtrack win the 2019 Oscar and Grammy Awards!

In addition to his work on the BLACK PANTHER film, MASSAMBA has performed in virtually every major concert hall on Earth, including London's Royal Festival Hall, Radio City Music Hall, the 2012 London Olympics, and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremonies.

And now, he comes to OAKLAND, CA!

MASSAMBA's performing and recording credits include Baaba Maal, James Brown, Carlos Santana, Herbie Hancock and Peter Gabriel.

In this exclusive Oakland, CA concert, MASSAMBA will be joined by the renowned Drum and Voice group THE RHYTHM CAFE, featuring BEN ISAACS, PATRICIO ANGULO and BOBBY WALLACE, who collectively have performed with a veritable gumbo of music talent including Bonnie Riatt, Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain, Fito Reynoso, David Rudder and Margareth Menezes.
