Healthcare Committee Project Presentations: NOVA
Aspects of designing a replacement medical center for the Veterans Administration in New Orleans will be presented. The new medical center replaces one that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. There will be a focus on the role of veterans research in aligning the new building design and approaches incorporated to users of the new facility. The role of resiliency will also be explored in developing a facility that can remain functional in the face of natural disasters
