Cantigas from the cosmopolitan 13th-century court of Castile, music of the troubadours, unusual Italian instrumental dances, meditative Ottoman instrumental pieces, and elegant Arabic love-songs - an exploration of the influences (known and conjectured) between East and West over centuries of musical interaction.
Performers include George Sawa, voice and qanun, Suzanne Meyers-Sawa, voice and percussion, Bryan Martin, lute, Randall Rosenfeld, flutes and fiddles, and Andrea Budgey, voice and fiddles.
