"No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind [the master mind]." ~Napoleon Hill
This event is for women who are entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, creatives, leaders, visionaries, artisans, change makers and solopreneurs. In other words...all women!
What is the benefit of participating in a MasterMind group? One of the key benefits of a MasterMind is that it provides a space to unpack difficult puzzles and dig into the challenges youre working through. Michele, a social entrepreneur, described the experience as a space to ask yourself tough questions, to up your game, and learn from others journeys.
By getting the perspective, knowledge, experience, and resources of others in the group, not only can you greatly expand your own limited view of the world you can also advance your own goals and projects more quickly.
Youll experience the strength and magic of MasterMind groups and learn how you can take advantage of the format following this event.
The focus of this gathering is -
Advocating for Ourselves
In many recent conversations with women, the theme of advocating for others and ourselves kept surfacing. We seem to be super good at advocating for others and not so good at advocating for ourselves. Why is that, I wondered?
Our special guest is Kareemah Fowler
As South Bend City Clerk, Kareemah has had the experience of advocating first for herself and then for her staff in a very public forum. She will share what gave her the fortitude to do that and how we might borrow from her playbook. Kareemah and I had a great discussion and will challenge you to change your inner dialogue around self-advocacy!
In a historical feat, Clerk Fowler was elected South Bends 22nd City Clerk in 2015 making her the first minority in St. Joseph County to seat a full-time executive office. City Clerk Kareemah Fowler is responsible for a myriad of activities, but is primarily responsible for supporting the Citys goal of open and transparent government.
Clerk Fowler earned her Bachelors (B.A.Sc.) degree in Business Administration with a minor in Public Service from Bethel College. An experienced public servant with over 15 years of experience in municipal government; Clerk Fowler has served in management positions both in the Office of the Clerk and the St. Joseph County Assessors Office. During her ten (10) year tenure in the Assessors Compliance Office, she worked directly with the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) and was instrumental in managing over $8,000,000,000 in assessment data. Clerk Fowler also spearheaded Indiana Sales Disclosure reform for St. Joseph County. She was also influential in creating a more streamlined process for local government through the consolidation of the township structure from thirteen (13) local assessment offices to two (2) offices. Clerk Fowler is a Level II Assessor-Appraiser, and certified member of both the International Institute of Municipal Clerk-Treasurers and the Municipal League of Clerks and Treasurers.
City Clerk Kareemah Fowler is also a recent nominee to the prestigious Emerging Leaders Project, an Indiana Election delegate and a graduate of the Michiana Chamber of Commerces Leadership Program Class XLI. Clerk Fowler most fervently enjoys bridging the gap between people and local government and being a parent to two very active children.
