CES Comedy Fundraiser 2019

The money raised from the comedy show and silent auction will be used to help fund an outdoor playground project. By creating a learning and discovery playground, we are increasing our student's interaction with the environment and reconnecting them with the living world so close to our school so that they might explore, discover, and learn.

Our ideas include a labyrinth sensory garden with raised beds and a walking path for community and students to come together. We hope to incorporate aromatic plants and include painted bird, bat, and butterfly houses for our master pollinators. Another area will include a fruiting hedge with safe edible bushes and plants, which will tie into a Nature path and embrace the existing features of tree roots, rocks, and stumps along with a pollination zone, a possible willow tunnel, discovery lean-to or game room. We will add features along the path to construct a storybook walk with painted rocks, plants, and some benches to stop and take in the natural world around us.

We have partnered with RE: Productions, and Reese Turner and Katelynd Kuhar to bring together professional comedians who have performed at various major comedy festivals, and the famous Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.

Doors open at 7 pm for the silent auction and refreshments in the lobby. There will also be an intermission for a last call for the silent auction.
