Association #5 : The Farm + Katrina Scotto Di Carlo
Association July : 'Lineage'
Dinner with The Farm Cafe and Katrina Scotto Di Carlo

July 21st, 2013
7pm to 11pm
21+
limited batch of $65 tickets

In March, UNION/PINE  Merit Badge  and Ned Ludd launched 'Association', a monthly dinner series designed to inspire with an evening of conversation, libations and delicious food. The reception to these gatherings have been great, and we are happy to be hosting number five!

For the July 21st dinner, chef Kelly Weiss and the beloved Portland staple, Farm Cafe will be preparing a meal with a nod to incredible Northwest roots. Featuring Lamb Andouille & "hunter's-style" duck sausage and Olive-oil poached Oregon Albacore tuna with wood-fired Romano beans, potato salad viscose, and sorrel pistou, this edition will be a huge hit for meat and seafood lovers.

Katrina Scotto Di Carlo's talk on 'lineage' will touch on local roots as well, along with ideas on ancestry and origin. As the Co-Founder of Supportland and Portland Made, and Mistress of the Bell at Backfence PDX, Katrina is usually elbow deep in collaborative economies work, but occasionally comes up for air with great stories.

Merit Badge will feature a series of paired drinks with each course, including wines by Willamette Valley's Evesham Wood Winery & Le Puits Sec Vineyard provided by Casa Bruno, and beer by Buckman Botanical, both included in the $65 ticket.

Bees and Beans will be creating the dessert, Classic Vintage Rentals, Bernadette Breu, and Seek the Unique will be contributing to the decor, and The Green Dandelion will bring a bit of the outdoors in for the occasion.

Association will be taking August off, as will hopefully some of you, but September's dinner will be a blast with Justin Lewis of Instrument, and the long-awaited 'dark dinner' with Cyril's is on for October. A partnership with Edible Portland will be a great celebration of the last dinner of our year, the third Sunday of November.
