Love and Information
Hamline University's Department of Theatre & Dance is excited to continue its 88th season with LOVE AND INFORMATION, written by Caryl Churchill and directed by Laura Dougherty. In constellations of connections--felt, attempted, missed, celebrated, long overdue, burgeoning--LOVE AND INFORMATION offers glimpses into interactions that shape and define our lives. The intersection of momentous and mundane moments grouped together reveal who we are, and why we are, right now. Playwright Caryl Churchill, one of the worlds most vital artistic voices, reminds us how we connect, how we close the loops, and why we try. Someone sneezes. Someone cant get a signal. Someone won't answer the door. Someone put an elephant on the stairs. Someones not ready to talk. Someone is her brother's mother. Someone hates irrational numbers. Someone told the police. Someone got a message from the traffic light. Someones never felt like this before. In this fast moving kaleidoscope, more than a hundred characters try to make sense of what they know.
