Jump PreQual Beginning Horsemanship Over Fences Dressage Western Games Performance Green Horse
Prepare 4-H horses and youth riders for show season in a fun, hands-on learning environment with quality, local clinicians. This 3-day schooling clinic is a great spring warm-up! Stalls & overnight camping available.
Late Registration May 4-8: add $10. After May 8 to day of event: add $20, in Indoor Arena Office.
Friday Clinics, May 10 5pm Jump Pre-Qual: Clinician Susie Merritt FREE This clinic for youth interested in jumping. Youth would demonstrate to clinician current abilities to compete in jumping higher than 12 inches at 2019 4-H horse shows.
Friday 5-7pm Beginning Horsemanship: Clinician Jennifer Kuster $35 This clinic for youth who are inexperienced or new to horses. Clinicians will cover the vital basics: tack check, helmet fit, rein management, and walk/trot and lope control. Parent/guardian allowed to accompany youth in arena to assist. Teen Leadership opportunity (youth 16 yrs. +) for Advancement checklist!!
Friday 6:30 pm Over Fences & On the Flat: Clinician Susie Merritt $20 Equitation on the flat and over fences designed to assist youth on how to approach and execute jumps appropriately. English saddle/tack and snaffle required.
Saturday Clinics, May 11 8-10am English & Western Dressage:Clinician Susie Merritt $20 This class will focus on how to carry you with more ease and to respond to subtle aids. Basic dressage is teaching a horse to be supple, balanced and responsive. English or western tack, bring your snaffle.
Saturday 10:30 am Western Games: Clinicians Briana Randall, Ashley Benedict $35 Learn all the gaming events. Youth will learn how to add technique and speed to help make every run successful.
Saturday 6pm-9pm Green Horse Clinic: Clinician Travis Logan $20 For intermediate & senior level youth. Horses must be 5 years and younger. Youth will learn the various steps in training a young horse. On the ground and in the saddle training techniques.
Sunday Clinics, May 12 8am Performance: Clinician Brittnay Raulston, Alyson Jacobson $35 Learn how to improve your equitation, execution of patterns, how to catch the judges eye and prepare for horse shows.
