Keeping Honey Bees with Confidence
Greg Hildebrand will teach a beginner's beekeeping class at Dill's Tavern aimed at helping participants get the most out of a nucleus hive - a small honey bee colony created from a larger colony. He'll give practical guidance that covers all the basics and go over mistakes that you can easily avoid. This class will have a general outline but will be largely influenced by your questions and the specific information you're looking to learn. Students will leave with a handout of important points to remember and a pack of mixed wildflower seeds to plant at home to keep our local bees happy!
Tickets are $10. Online ticket sales end 48 hours before the event.
For information about reserving your own nucleus hive this spring, please contact Greg Hildebrand at email@example.com.
NYCHAPS reserves the right to cancel any event due to low enrollment, inclement weather or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If NYCHAPS cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund. Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, registrants will have the option to either receive a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date. In the case of last minute event cancellations, all efforts will be made to inform ticket holders of the cancellation or rescheduling of the event. Before every event, please check www.northernyorkhistorical.org for updates. If you are unable to attend an event for which you have purchased tickets, NYCHAPS should be contacted no later than 48 hours before the start of the event for refund consideration.
