American actress and singer Patricia Phillips has changed the history of American Broadway theater, twice. Known for her power-house soprano, Patricia enjoys a legacy that includes being the first woman of African American descent to play Carlotta in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera and the only woman of color to appear in Kinky Boots Broadway. Classically trained at Carnegie Mellon University, Patricia has a wide range of stage and film credits. Whether she is performing on stage, singing with a symphony or acting alongside Robert De Niro (Everybody's Fine), Patrcia's reputation as a transformative artist transcends traditional roles and barriers. Her voice can be heard on all three Tony Award winning original cast recordings of La Boheme, The Secret Garden and The Sound of Music.
Patricia lives in the greater New York City area where she savors dual citizenship between the United States and Italy.
