Haunted by History presents: "Paranormal Weekend at the Pierpont Inn"
UPDATE:
The Pierpont Inn, established in 1910, is one of the most beloved historic properties in Ventura, CA. Not only was it a social gathering for local residents, but it also attracted movie stars and film crews dating back to the 1910s.
One of the Inn's most actively haunted areas is the Vickers Estate, built in the mid-1930s, as a private residence for the family that owned the property at the time.
After the Estate opened as a rental space for weddings, guests and hotel staff began reporting odd occurrences inside the building. This includes the sounds of phantom footsteps and doors opening and closing on its own.
Join historian and paranormal researcher Craig Owens, author of HAUNTED BY HISTORY: SEPARATING THE FACTS AND LEGENDS OF EIGHT HISTORIC HOTELS AND INNS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (which features the Pierpont Inn), for a special one night paranormal investigion of the Vickers Estate and the Inn's two 1920s Rose Cottages!
Helping with the investigation is Katie Burr, a paranormal investigator for the Discovery Channel's GHOST LAB television series and Brandon Alvis, founder of APRA Paranormal.

Craig Owens will kick off the event at 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 30, with a presentation that covers the histories of eight haunted historic hotels and inns in Southern California. The emphasis of his presentation, however, will be on the actual history of the Pierpont Inn. Owens will also share audio clips of EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon) as well as his own paranormal experiences while doing his photo shoots inside the Vickers Estate.
Attendees will then break for a meal. Around 10:30 pm, after Austen's Restaurant closes, all registrants will be divided into groups led by Owens, Katie Burr and Brandon Alvis to investigate the entire Vickers Estate and the Pierpont's two Rose Cottages until the early hours of the morning.
$50 covers the ghost hunt. Special discount guest room prices for those wanting to stay the night at the Pierpont.
On Sunday morning, hotel guests will check-out according to Pierpont Inn policy.
