What to expect: Learn how to maximize quality in your photos while minimizing the fuss. For beginners through working photographers, this includes straight forward, easy to understand techniques for lighting, composition, and reducing workflow with an emphasis on staying portable.
In this lively, multi session workshop, you will not only learn useful information for taking better stylized photos, but for taking better photos in general. Using a combination of classroom style and Hands-On participation sessions, David offers a truly unique and effective learning and portfolio building opportunity to the attendees.
In the photo sessions of the workshop you will participate in a hands-on photo shoot with the models, learning and practicing multiple techniques taught in real time. So bring your cameras, lenses, and flashes. As a bonus, David will be providing some amazing lighting options for you to try out, from LED to speedlites, and even high power Mono lights and diffusion. (Triggers available for Canon, Nikon, and Sony users)

Friday, May 3rd, 7 PM to 9:30 PM David Guy Maynard will present a classroom style seminar covering subjects including lighting techniques, color management, lens/gear choice and usage, composition, and much more. This informative and entertaining seminar will be the primer for the leap your work will take over the next one to two days.
Saturday, May 4th 10 AM to 1 PM Hands-on photography session with a model, utilizing the theater and custom set as background scenes. Themes will be Steampunk/ Boudoir.
1 PM to 2 PM Lunch Break (Sub sandwiches, chips, and drinks provided)
2 PM to 5 PM Hands-on photography session with a model, utilizing the theater and custom set as background scenes. Themes will be Boudoir/Glamour - Outfit and background changes.
7 PM to ? Photo walk down Bathhouse Row learning and practicing techniques for street/scenic photography with a model.
Sunday, May 5th 1 PM to 4 PM Hands-on photography session with a model, in the theater. Themes will be Bodyscaping and Fine Art Nude.
Your Instructor:
David is an internationally published photographer working in Commercial, Fashion, Beauty, Event, Nature/Macro and Fine Art photography. His work has been published in numerous magazines and publications around the world, as well as being featured in prominent galleries and exhibits. When not busy clicking the shutter button, David offers seminars and workshops on subjects ranging from Studio and Location Lighting, to Color Management and Workflow. David's technical experience and practical approach to location lighting and workflow offers a fresh perspective in a lively atmosphere to photographers of all skill levels.
