Civil Disobedience for women + Their Allies
A four week workshop beginning Mondays, March 25, April 1, 8 & 15, 6:30-8:30 pm. Designed and presented by writer, scholar, activist, board member of the Mass Women's Political Caucus Dawne Shand.
We'll talk about the great traditions of civil disobedience and converse with today's rule breakers and change makers! We'll convene at PEG to consider new possibilities, both as individuals and as citizens. We'll make quiet introspection a springboard for raucous noise and joy! We'll use these ideas to imagine a different future for ourselves. The goal? To have each participant write their own Personal Manifesto for Civil Disobedience. For idea makers, writers, thinkers, anyone curious about connecting ideas and action!
Week One: March 25th, POLITICAL
Week Two: April 1st, CREATIVE
Week Three: April 8th, PHYSICAL
Week Four: April 15th, ACTION, Writing Workshop with Dawne Shand creating your personal manifesto.
