Early Music Voices: Vivaldi & his Secret Bride (Ensemble Caprice)
Led by recorder & traverso players, Matthias Maute & Sophie Larivière, Ensemble Caprice is renowned for its innovative interpretations of baroque music. In this concert, they present a mostly Vivaldi program with soprano, Dawn Bailey, as well as music by other baroque greats: Handel, Sammartini, Caldara & J.S. Bach
The New York Times said of Ensemble Caprice: "A group that encourages listeners to rehear the world" They have performed at all the major early music festivals around the world, but you need only come to Christ Church in Calgary to hear them for yourself, with Montreal soprano, Dawn Bailey.
