Chefs for Change
First annual female chef's fund raising event benefiting The Women's Shelter of Long Beach, on Monday March 4th at 6:30 pm. Owners of taste wine-beer-kitchen and Olives Gourmet Grocer, Erin Ohagan and Laurie Semon, along with Chef Brad Neumann, have created a unique way to give back to our community. As a women owned business, finding a women's charity was a natural progression. Additionally, Chef Brad has assembled a team of local Long Beach women chefs to create a 6-Course Dinner. This year's line-up includes:

Pacific Oysters, Preserved Citrus, Tarragon Oil, Champagne Vinaigrette
Warm Winter Mushroom Cappuccino
Bitter Greens, Golden Beets, Blood Orange, Fennel and Jasmine Kumquat Vinaigrette
Beef & Bulgar Fried Kibbeh, Vegetarian Stuffed Grape Leaves and Fire Roasted Eggplant Babaghanouj
Roasted Half Game Hen with Posole Broth and Masa Cake
Cheesecake, Vanilla Chantilly, Blood Orange-Beer Cream, Citrus Chip, California Finger Limes, Local Arryan, Basil Powder
Each course will have a complimentary wine pairing, from a female wine maker.
$100 per person All proceeds go to The Women's Shelter of Long Beach.
