Advanced curriculum for SFFD Engine Drivers, and those who want to learn tricks of the trade. Topics covered: Basic hydraulics (as applied to SFFD SOPs), using fire commander to its full potential, flow meters, operational challenges (fire to hydrant leads, tandem pumping, relay pumping), and "things that make you say hmmmm?" This class/curriculum is similar to the 2009 advanced pump operations class at the Division of Training.
20 students per class. Bring your own lunch.
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, helmets, gloves. BDU pants, turnout pants, and jeans are acceptable.
NOTE: On-duty details are available (number of spots and priority to be determined by Training Division.). This class is NOT for current SFFD probationary firefighters.
