Coppin Repertory Theatre presents A RAISIN IN THE SUN by Lorraine Hansberry
Coppin Repertory Theatre at Coppin State University will present, in celebration of the plays 60th Anniversary, Lorraine Hansberrys groundbreaking drama, A RAISIN IN THE SUN.
Set in a small Chicago tenement apartment of the 1950s, the plot revolves around the divergent dreams and conflicts within three generations of the Youngers, a poor African American family, including son Walter Lee, his wife Ruth, his sister Beneatha, his son Travis and his mother Lena, called Mama.
The performance schedule for A RAISIN IN THE SUN is: Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at 2:00 & 7:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m.
All performances take place in the James Weldon Johnson Auditorium, located on the North Avenue side of Coppin State Universitys campus.
