Detroit-born, Berlin-based singer/songwriter, polyglot poet, translator, and activist Daniel Kahn concocts furious, tender, electrifying, and revolutionary "alienation klezmer." Inspired in part by the struggles of Jewish revolutionaries of over a century ago, and in part by his own intense desire for a better world, Daniel's self-described "Radical Yiddish Punk-Folk Cabaret" has traveled to rock clubs, theaters, festivals, and shtetls from Berlin to Boston, Leningrad to Louisiana. He will explore the roots and branches of his inspiration and innovation in conversation with Seth Rogovoy.
