Josh Dolgin, aka Socalled, is a musician, performer, composer, and producer based in Montreal. The foremost practitioner of klezmer hip-hop, Socalled has worked in a myriad of styles on his own and with artists including Enrico Macias, Roxanne Shante, Gonzales, DJ Assault, David Krakauer, and Fred Wesley. He can often be found in the sheet-music archives of the Yiddish Book Center searching for new material and inspiration. Socalled explores his creative process in conversation with Seth Rogovoy.
