Honey Hoedown - Oregon Coast Honey Lovers Festival
TICKETS AVAILABLE AT DOOR ON SATURDAY!
The Honey Hoedown is the closing event of the Oregon Coast Honey Lovers Festival. It will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Yachats Commons Pavilion.
This fun event includes a toasty bonfire and live music by RED DIESEL (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) for an entry fee of $5.
Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., meat and vegetarian sliders and slaw will be available for purchase for $15.
Menu options include
(1) "Deck Family Farm" honey smoked Pork Slider served with Bee Pollen Slaw. (2) Honey smoked Wild Mushrooms Slider served with Bee Pollen Slaw.
Until 8 p.m., there will also be a No Host Bar serving mead and honey beer.
Sliders+slaw catered by Yachats Brewing.
RED DIESEL includes Betsy Yochelson ~ stand-up bass and vocals ~ Sweet Home, OR, Theron Yochelson ~ mandolin and vocals ~ Sweet Home, OR, Guy Chilton ~ guitar, dobro, and vocals ~ Silverton, OR, Steve Speth ~ banjo ~ Lebanon, OR
Gigmasters describes Red Diesel as "four kickin' acoustic musicians performing everything from bluegrass to The Beatles, country to Cajun, and Rockabilly to ridin' the range. Theron & Betsy (mandolin & stand-up bass) have been growing timber, repairing automobiles, and making music together in Sweet Home for more than 20 years. Steve Speth (banjo) is a retired history teacher from Lebanon High School and a National Park speaker/astronomer. Guy Chilton (guitar and dobro) lives in Silverton. He is a singer/songwriter, as are Theron & Betsy, all singing tight harmonies as well."
