We're BAAAAAAAACK with all the chill vibes and fun times for our first event of 2019! AND by popular demand we are EXPANDING OUR MENU! This edition of Queers & Beers will not only feature the best craft beers in town, BUT! well ALSO be serving up lots of local ciders, wine, cocktails, and a well takeover by Odd Society spirits.
So come shake off those rainy winter blues > we got the cure! Rad beers and fellow queers at Vancouvers favourite HANGOUT PARTY ;) So kick up your feet and make some new pals in a friendly relaxed social environment! Then! after dark well sashay on into the sweetest, cutest, amateur queer drag party in town, Man Ups Amateur Hour!

ACCESSIBILITY SUMMARY: Entrance ramp is located on the right (north) side of the warehouse parking lot, and is 38in wide with a handrail to the left 41in high. Accessible door has a clearance of 45in. Inside entrance is 81in wide. There is not yet an accessible toilet installed, so for the event we will have an accessible portable onsite. Considering the nature of the venue, a multi use arts space with studios where artists use multiple chemical mediums, we are sorry to say we are unable to offer a scent-reduced space.
THE BUDDY SYSTEM:
The Buddy System is a grassroots effort to combat rape culture and enhance the safety of our queer events. CONSENT IS SEXY -- AND MANDATORY! Oppressive attitudes and behaviour -- including but not limited to misogyny, transphobia, racism, body shaming -- are not welcome here. The Buddy System will be in effect at Man Up Pride. Buddies will be wearing **NEON T-SHIRTS** Our Buddies are NARCAN trained, and are carrying sealed water bottles, condoms, lube, granola bars, tampons, and more. They will run interference if someone is receiving unwanted attention, can help folks in need find a way home, and generally serve as go-to support people should any problems arise.
This event is being held on unceded Indigenous land belonging to the Coast Salish peoples. This includes the territories of the Musqueam, Skxwú7mesh-ulh & Tsleil-Waututh nations. In recognition of this, and of the historical and ongoing genocide against the Indigenous Peoples of this land, we (settlers/occupiers) will be donating a portion of profits from each event to Indigenous Self-Determination work.
