What is The Taste of Magic Show at Stowaway?
A limited run, Immersive magical tasting show featuring exquisite and unique cocktails crafted at Stowaway, a tropical style Tiki bar tucked away within confines of an urban space. Imagine a curated Iron Chef meets Harry Potter interactive show.
Is there a dress code?
There is no specific dress code enforced, but 50s-'60s luau/cocktail attire is recommended and encouraged experience.
What's the difference between seating?
This is a very intimate venue, so all seats are good seats! Premier and Reserved are our best seats, with the best view and most likely to be in on the action. Reserved seats offer unobstructed views and are usually located in the front of the performing venue. General seats are located on the rear of the performance area. All seats are pre-assigned based on ticket tier and party size.
Is there an age limit?
The Taste of Magic Show is intended for those 18 years of age or older, and cocktails are served throughout the venue for those 21 and up. Because a core part of the show integrates and showcases crafted cocktails, those under 21 may substitute their included drinks for non alcoholic beverages or a mock version of the featured cocktails.
Do I need to print my ticket?
The show operates on a guest list, so you'll just need to present your name and a government issued ID at the door. No need to print your ticket.
Who is Jeromy Chan? Who is Dom Iapello?
Jeromy Chan, performing as Westin Marc the Sensory Architect, is a magician and member of the world famous Magic Castle. He is best known for his directing and producing work behind the scenes on the Magic Crasher series. Jeromy has performed in top tech and industry trade shows, the 2016 XGames, and the collegiate circuit throughout the United States. Additionally, Jeromy has served as a technical adviser and creative consultant for MTV, NBC Universal, and Blizzard entertainment, gaining praise from the likes of Jennifer Lopez, TPain, and Nick Canon.
Dominic Iapello, managing partner of Stowaway Tiki, posesses in depth experience in the craft cocktail world, ranging wildly from tiki, arcade, and the hotel resort varieties. Dom has developed bar programs at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, Hilton Huntington Beach as well as a couple Liquor Companies throughout California, specializing in tiki fruit-forward cocktails. He finds enjoyment out of crafting difficult to mix spirits and bizarre flavor combinations one would not normally anticipate blending together, and yet somehow makes them work in a uniquely delicious and memorable way.
How long is the show?
The show itself is 65 minutes in length, with a brief intermission. From beginning to end, the experience is approximately 1.5hrs
