Chefs Care for Real at Province

Care for Real has been serving the Greater Edgewater Community for over 40 years. The not for profit organization provides free programs and services to people in need including food distribution five times a week, deliveries to the homebound, a clothing shop, a pet pantry, case management referrals and an Employment Resource Center to help clients self stabilize and get back on their feet.

Care for Real launched the Chefs Care for Real Program to help raise funds to continue to feed the thousands of individuals and families turning to the organization in a time of need. The majority of Care for Real's clients are seniors and families with children under the age of 18.

Monthly Chef Care for Real events take place at some of Chicago's finest restaurants.

On Thursday, July 25, from 5:30-7:30pm, Chef Randy Zweiban will host a special cocktail reception at Province, 161 North Jefferson. Delicious passed hors d'oeuvres, highlighting the very best of our local farmers, and wine, beer and specialty cocktails will be offered as part of a very intimate event held in the VIP Room. Tickets are $60 per person and includes tax and gratuity.

Province is an American restaurant with cuisine inspired by Central and South America and Spain. Located in Chicago's West Loop, the restaurant has achieved Gold Level LEED certification. Province incorporates green building materials and equipment, farm-to-table cuisine from Executive Chef Randy Zweiban, and a true blending of old world and new world culinary sensibilities.

Executive Chef/Owner Randy Zweiban, who first brought Nuevo Latino cooking to Chicago with Nacional 27, has crafted a dynamic menu at Province. The cocktail reception on Thursday, July 25 will surely be a memorable one!
